William Wrede
William Wrede (1859-1906) was a professor of the New Testament at the University of Breslau. He is best known for his work on the Gospel of Mark entitled The Messianic Secret, which remains a mainstay in Historical Jesus Studies, as well as his work entitled Paul. Jacob N. Cerone is a doctoral candidate at the university of Erlangen-Nuremburg.
