Willard Rouse Jillson
Willard Rouse Jillson (May 28, 1890-October 4, 1975) was a Kentucky academic who wrote dozens of books on Kentucky history and geology. Jillson taught at the University of Kentucky in 1918 and later at Transylvania University from 1947 to 1951. He served most notably as Kentucky State Geologist from 1919 to 1932, as the first chairman of the Kentucky State Park Commission from 1924 to 1932, and as director of the Sixth Kentucky Geological Survey.
