Thomas Paine

Thomas Paine was an English-born American political activist, philosopher, political theorist, and revolutionary. He authored Common Sense (1776) and The American Crisis (1776-1783), two of the most influential pamphlets at the start of the American Revolution, and helped inspire the Patriots in 1776 to declare independence from Great Britain, theretofore an unpopular cause. His ideas reflected Enlightenment-era ideals of transnational human rights.

Personality Profile For Thomas Paine

Thomas Paine

The following is a personality profile of Thomas Paine based on his work.

Thomas Paine is shrewd and somewhat inconsiderate.

He is laid-back, he appreciates a relaxed pace in life. He is unstructured as well: he does not make a lot of time for organization in his daily life. But, Thomas Paine is also cautious of others: he is wary of other people's intentions and does not trust easily.

More than most people, his choices are driven by a desire for discovery.

He is also relatively unconcerned with tradition: he cares more about making his own path than following what others have done. Considers helping others to guide a large part of what he does: he thinks it is important to take care of the people around him.
