Sara Ware Bassett

Sara Ware Bassett (1872-1968) was an American author and textile designer. Unwilling to accept a designer's position away from home, she turned to teaching and for twenty years held a position in the Newton public schools. Spending her summers on the Cape she developed a familiarity with and warmth for the local inhabitants.
