Michael Townsend: When Michael Townsend was a little boy, he loved reading comic books, eating chocolate cake, and thinking about the name he would one day give his pet monkey. Those were good years. When adulthood finally struck, Michael decided he would go to college to learn how to be a professional chocolate cake eater. Crushed when he discovered no such profession exists (yet), he decided to go for his second career choice and earned a B.A. at the School of Visual Arts (in NYC). After graduation, he began writing and illustrating children's books. If all goes well, he hopes to buy a cake factory and adopt a pet monkey, which he will name Jiggles Microwave Townsend. See less
