Matt Avery is a veteran automotive journalist, photographer, and historian. After time as a repair technician for Mercedes-Benz and BMW, he wrote for the television show MotorWeek before joining the Cars.com editorial team as a senior video producer. Avery's work has been seen in Hot Rod magazine and Muscle Car Review as well as his long-running column in the widely read Classic Recollections feature in the Chicago-based Daily Herald. Matt's career includes time on the board for the Midwest Automotive Media Association, where he served as vice president.
