Marc Brown is known best for his ARTHUR series. He grew up in Erie, Pennsylvania where as a child he was influenced by family and friends that would be eventually become the many stories of an aardvark.Trained at the Cleveland Art Institute, Marc went on to create more than 100 picture books for children. He now lives in Hingham, Massachusetts and Martha's Vineyard, with his wife, illustrator and author Laurie Krasny Brown, and their daughter Eliza.
