In addition to being a fine artist, an illustrator, and an author, Kris has worked as a children's book designer and has made recent forays into the digital and decorative arts. Kris Waldherr was born in West Haverstraw, New York, and earned a bachelor of fine arts degree from the School of Visual Arts in New York City, where she now makes her home with her husband, anthropolgist Thomas Ross Miller.
