Joan Graff Clucas was born in Denver, Colorado, but moved with her family to California and grew up in Los Angeles. After Woodcrest Elementary, Bret Harte Jr. High, and Washington High in Los Angeles, she completed her education at Biola University in La Mirada. Joan Graff Clucas was born in Denver, Colorado, but moved with her family to California and grew up in Los Angeles. After Woodcrest Elementary, Bret Harte Jr. High, and Washington High in Los Angeles, she completed her education at Biola University in La Mirada. During her years at Biola, she met and married her husband, Don. They have three children and three grandchildren.
