Dr. Jieli Li is Professor of Sociology in the Department of Sociology and Anthropology at Ohio University and a core faculty affiliated with the Center for International Studies of Ohio University. His areas of research include historical and comparative sociology, social change, globalization, development, and conflict resolution. Dr. Jieli Li is Professor of Sociology in the Department of Sociology and Anthropology at Ohio University and a core faculty affiliated with the Center for International Studies of Ohio University. His areas of research include historical and comparative sociology, social change, globalization, development, and conflict resolution. He has published widely in the areas of comparative state-society relations. Currently he is the editor-in-chief of American Review of China Studies and also holding a guest professorship at several universities in China (including Peking University). Dr. Li was elected and served two terms as president of the Association of Chinese Professors of Social. Sciences in the US (ACPSS) (2007-2011) and also elected and served his term as Council Chair of United Society of China Studies (USCS) (2009-2011). He was awarded as the 39th Kohei Miura Visiting professor at the College of International Studies of Chubu University in Japan (2013). See less
