J Monkeys has always been a storyteller, although mostly just for self-entertainment. J was shocked to learn that everybody didn't spend their time with their head in a cloud imagining what they would do if some kind of adventure presented itself. After getting a degree in Creative Writing from the University of Connecticut (Go Huskies!) and spending WAY too long writing boring things for a regular paycheck, J is proud to be a published author at long last. J was shocked to learn that everybody didn't spend their time with their head in a cloud imagining what they would do if some kind of adventure presented itself. After getting a degree in Creative Writing from the University of Connecticut (Go Huskies!) and spending WAY too long writing boring things for a regular paycheck, J is proud to be a published author at long last. J's preschool age twins (Chip & JJ) inspired the story-less books when their Speech Therapist began using pictures to develop their vocabulary. But, when a book has words, J reads them and never remembered to ask Chip or JJ what they saw on the page. If J did it, then other parents probably do, too. When parents 'read' a story-less books with their child, the preschooler has a chance to practice their creative thinking, vocabulary and articulation skills. See less
