Hugh Tait

Hugh Tait joined the British Museum in 1954, was appointed Deputy Keeper of Medieval and Later Antiquities in 1969 until his retirement in 1992. He was an Honorary Fellow of the Corning Museum of Glass and a former President of the International Association for the History of Glass. His numerous publications include (as author) The Golden Age of Venetian Glass and (as editor) 7000 Years of Jewelry , which has sold more than 15,000 copies in the United States and Canada.
