Mister Valéry and Logic (2002) is the first book in this collection, and it was awarded the Branquinho de Fonseca's Prize/ Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation in 2002.His exceptional work portfolio includes Jerusalem (2004), awarded the Saramago Prize in 2005, and Learning to Pray in the Age of Technology (2010), awarded the Prize for the Best Foreign Book in France and Special Prize by the Jury of the Grand Prize for Literary Web Culture 2010. One of his latest works, Plague Diary, is a compilation of daily articles inspired by the pandemic, published between March 24 and June 21, 2020, in the Portuguese newspaper Expresso.Some of his works have been adapted into theatre, dance, and films, as well as being a source of inspiration for visual artists and various performances.
