Frank Stewart is emeritus professor of English at the University of Hawai'i at M noa. He is the translator of I, Snow Leopard by Jidi Majia (M noa Books and El León Literary Arts, 2016); primary editor of The Poem behind the Poem: Translating Asian Poetry into English (Copper Canyon Press, 2004); and the sole or primary editor for fourteen journals and books in the M noa Series (University of Hawai'i Press).

This is a wonderful book. I have read a lot on the Cherokees, but found even more information here. I checked some of the history in the book against what's on the web and found it very accurate. Read More
