Dr. Pavitra Kumar Sharma was born in Dholpur city of Rajasthan on 30 June, 1971. His father's name is Shri Ramveer Sharma and mother's name is Smt. Sushila Devi. His father was an officer in the canal department. He completed his education from first grade to post graduation from Dholpur city. He did MA in Hindi from Rajasthan University, M.Sc in Zoology from Agra University and research work in Hindi (from Agra University) but due to lack of interest in job, he kept doing professional writing work. In 1990, he joined a spiritual institution named 'Prajapita Brahmakumari Ishwari Vishwavidyalaya'. He has been conducting free classes of meditation and Raja Yoga at home for the last 25 years.
