Dennis Wright was born in Melbourne where his engineer father was working during WWII. His Mother's family had come from Great Western in Victoria's west and his Father's family was from Kyneton in central Victoria. Dennis Wright was born in Melbourne where his engineer father was working during WWII. His Mother's family had come from Great Western in Victoria's west and his Father's family was from Kyneton in central Victoria. Soon after the war, his father purchased a general store west of Melbourne but after a couple of years moved to a country property at Reedy Creek in the upper Goulburn Valley. The author has since resided in rural Victoria for most of his life, apart from a period when he was studying and then employed in Melbourne. He has travelled extensively throughout Australia; his employment has taken him to every capital city and to countless rural centres. He is retired and lives with his wife in Central Victoria his extended family includes children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Dennis has written a number of books but this is his first novel. See less
