David Rees

David Rees was a lecturer at Exeter University, England until 1984, when he became a full-time freelance writer. He has also been Distinguished Visiting Professor on the English faculty at California State University, San Jose. He has written 38 books, many of them for children, and was awarded the Carnegie Medal in 1978 for The Exeter Blitz. His books include two other collections of essays on contemporary fiction for children and young adults.
