Dr. Darya Hodaei was born in Tabriz, the capital of Iran's East Azerbaijan province. Growing up in Iran, she was deprived of an education in her own mother tongue of Azerbaijani Turkic, which led to identity issues. Dr. Darya Hodaei was born in Tabriz, the capital of Iran's East Azerbaijan province. Growing up in Iran, she was deprived of an education in her own mother tongue of Azerbaijani Turkic, which led to identity issues. As she studied the language and culture, Dr. Hodaei grew more and more fascinated. She knew she wanted to share the beauty and history with anyone else who was interested. This kindled a deep desire to steep her children in the knowledge of their heritage.Dr. Hodaei is a passionate believer in the importance of preserving and enriching a child's ethnic culture, especially their mother language, as a fundamental part of their upbringing. To spread her idea and help cement her commitment, Dr. Hodaei created EnglishAzerbaijani LLC. This platform employs visual aids in Azerbaijani and English to help preserve the language and culture. Dr. Hodaei aims to provide cultural integration and raise awareness about Azerbaijani culture while bringing the world together by promoting multiculturalism, respect, and acceptance. Dr. Hodaei lives in the US and has two children. The family home is very diverse, and together they share four languages and cultures.
