Amanda Gagel is Associate Editor of the Mark Twain Project at the University of California, Berkeley. Amanda Gagel is Associate Editor of the Mark Twain Project at the University of California, Berkeley. Sophie Geoffroy is Professor in the Department of English at the University of La Reunion, where she specializes in nineteenth-century studies. Her particular focus is on issues of gender, intercultural dynamics and fantasy. She has published critical editions, unpublished correspondence, and books and articles on Henry James, Nathaniel Hawthorne, Vernon Lee, Angela Carter and Jane Campion. See less
