Amanda Gagel is Associate Editor of the Mark Twain Project at the University of California, Berkeley. Her research interests include American and British literature of the late-nineteenth century and book and publishing history. Amanda Gagel is Associate Editor of the Mark Twain Project at the University of California, Berkeley. Her research interests include American and British literature of the late-nineteenth century and book and publishing history. Recent publications include '1897, A Discussion of Plagiarism: Letters Between Vernon Lee, Bernard Berenson, and Mary Costelloe' in Literary Imagination (2010) and Vol.8, The Papers of Frederick Law Olmsted: The Early Boston Years (1882-1890) (editor) (2013). Sophie Geoffroy is Professor in the Department of English at the University of La Reunion, where she specializes in nineteenth-century studies. Her particular focus is on issues of gender, intercultural dynamics and fantasy. She has published critical editions, unpublished correspondence, and books and articles on Henry James, Nathaniel Hawthorne, Vernon Lee, Angela Carter and Jane Campion. See less
