Alibris and Bookbyte Join Forces to Offer Textbooks, and Better Prices, to Students
Alibris leverages their e-commerce integration framework to help Bookbyte provide more new and used textbooks to college students
EMERYVILLE, CA—August 23, 2010— Alibris, the world's most advanced online media marketplace provider for sellers of new and used books, and Bookbyte.com a leader in online sales for used college textbooks, have recently completed an integration project that enables Bookbyte to give shoppers access to 100 million items—including new and used textbooks—offered for sale by the Alibris network of independent sellers.

The Bookbyte integration was completed using the Alibris E-commerce Integration Framework, a standardized XML-based technology that allows partners to access the Alibris seller network in highly flexible and scalable ways. The Alibris E-commerce Integration Framework allows partners to control the brand and customer experience, and therefore provides the partner's customers with a seamless website shopping experience, including integrated search, cart, and checkout processes.
