Since seeing this many years ago, I have hunted it repeatedly. All records said it was not available or had not been produced for sale when it was originally shown in the early 70's. Finally, I have found it while browsing a previously never seen web site for a book. This is a wonderful rendition of the classic story: scenery & costumes are opulent, music is passionate, the plot is correctly followed. And best of all, Timothy Dalton is brooding, moody, dramatic and gorgeous! This is a must see for all of his fans, being one of his earliest (if not THE earliest) starring roles. Anna Calder-Marshall as Kathy is exactly as I always imagined the character. I am elated to have finally found it. Once you see it you will never forget the images & the movie's theme music keeps spinning around in your head.
