Great for teaching a difficult subject with humor
I love this book. My mom used it to teach me the facts of life, well she actually just left it around knowing I read everything in sight lol. I am currently using it to teach my 8 year old and 10 year old about where babies come from. Since this can be an uncomfortable subject this book is great. The pictures help to add alot of humor, while at the same time the text helps them to understand that this is a serious learning experience. I think it's important to let them know what's going on and what's going to happen to them and choices they'll make when they're older. Since we recently had a baby this seemed the perfect time to do it. I would recommend this book as either the main book you use or a supplement if you're teaching an older child, since an older child may not take the cartoon like pictures seriously. Overall, a great resource that my kids find amusing and interesting.
