So, you were called into this crazy and wonderful world of Youth Ministry. Great! Now what? Do you just jump right in and figure it out along the way? For many of us, that's how it happened. I read a ton of books and attended some conferences that got me all fired up. But there were some critical things that no one ever mentioned. How do I deal with tragedy in our church? How do I make sure my family is getting their fair share of my time and attention? What happens when I feel alone or like I'm not making a difference at all? How do I keep the drive alive when I feel like my tank is empty? After 20+ years in the trenches, I've learned that there is so much more to this than pizza, crazy games, and camps. There's an emotional and physical draining that can happen if we're not intentional from the beginning. As we pour our time and energy into these amazing young people, we have to protect ourselves as well. In this book, I'll share some of my own experiences and stories and how I learned to equip myself to be in it for the long haul. Buckle up!
