This recording features baritone Michael Volle as Wotan, bass-baritone Tomasz Konieczny as Alberich, and mezzo-soprano Elisabeth Kulman as Fricka, with a supporting cast that is vocally strong and well-rehearsed, even though many of the singers are not famous outside Germany.
