Anyone with interest in WWII needs to read this book. Its not just about silly, witty cartoons. Its about the horrors of combat and the way GIs coped.

Great for WW2 Buffs
This is an excellent book for those who are interested in the 'dogfaces' view of the War.Numerous cartoons from the GI's "Stars & Stripes" newspaper are interwoven with the author's memories of the European theater.
