excellent, practical self help for grief
I'm picky about self-help books. This one, like very few, has changed my life. What's esp good about it is that it is not just about grief resulting from death. Instead it helps people with the sometimes just as painful grief over major life losses. This book is equally good for someone grieving, say, abandonment by a spouse, loss of a loved one to an injury/condition so severe that the person no longer recognizes you, losing a significant other due to a massive misunderstanding that cannot be repaired.
The book is informed by Buddhist teachings, but it is *not* a Buddhist book & author never even mentions Buddhism, that I recall.
This is the book that has helped me finally crawl out of a grief & guilt hole so deep that I thought I might kill myself. It can help you too.
