She was an interpreter when she first came to the United States. Working as a certified court interpreter, she graduated from law school and became a lawyer in 1995. She is better known as a BBK lawyer among Koreans, as she represented Optional Ventures Korea in a series of U.S. litigations involving the former South Korean President Myung Bak Lee and the entity BBK for nineteen years.
