Tabacco, where would we be without it?
The country we know today as the United States was founded on a narcotic. Tobacco was the very first successful cash crop in the colonies, all others failed miserably. There might be a bit of irony in this and a tad bit of hypocrisy since this country is doing just about everything possible now to eradicate drug cultivation in the so called developing countries. This is a fun read as Iain Gately goes about illuminating and/or debunking just about all we thought we knew about the "weed". Is it a curse or a blessing? In the final analysis it's most definitely both!
