The title of the nine-track budget-line Three Decades of Blues is a little misleading. The title promises a look at the blues' evolution, but instead it's just a hodgepodge of tracks from the '70s, '80s and '90s, which are years when blues remained fairly static. In fact, there's more blues-rock here -- Jeff Beck, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Johnny Winter, Allman Brothers -- and even some cuts by blues artists (B.B. King's "The Thrill is Gone," Albert Collins' "Mister Collins, Mister Collins") lean toward the rock side. If you like ...
