Review of the Book on Indonesian Cooking
The book gives a very good insight into the cooking of Indonesian and on the Dutch Rijsttafel. All the recipes are easy to follow and as a Dutch person it is what you will find in the restaurents of the Netherlands. I have been there a few times, so I have tasted some the foods of Indonesia in the Netherlands. So for people who would like to learn about how to cook the Indonesian food, I would recommend this book aa astarting point. This also will help people in all foods from Malaysia and Thailand. Some of the spices are alike in all the nations in Southeast Asia. All people should have fun learning how to cook the food in this cookbook. I understand that Ms Antoinette DeWit made some of the recipes for American taste, because some dishes from Indonesia can be very spicy and hot. I really think that this book is a good cookbook for people who want to try food from the region.
