This is one handy little book, clearly explaining the process of birthing a child, as well as sewing up a wound (practice on pig skin from the butcher) , severing a limb (NOT recommended), etc. What I found most helpful was the thorough explanation of various antibiotics and pain relievers. Plus, what antibiotics are available in fish/avian form that conform to human antibiotics. With this knowledge, one can stock a medicine chest in preparation for a disaster.
