Seller's Description:
Very good. No dust jacket as issued. Signed by author. History of Professional hockey's "most prized trophy". Trade Paperback original (published simultaneously with hardcover); 1st printing/edition; very good condition. INSCRIBED & SIGNED by McFarlane ("To Richard.") in blue ink on 1/2 title page. ADDITIONALLY: a letter from the publisher (Pagurian Press on letterhead) to original owner, is LAID IN. The letter (signed by Susan Barrable) states that the book is out of print "and there are no plans at the moment for a reprint." HOWEVER, typed below Ms. Barrable's signature, on the same sheet of paper, is ANOTHER typed paragraph from McFarlane stating "found this softcover. gathering dust in my office. I was never particularly proud of this book. rather boring I thought." Mr. McFarlane has SIGNED his portion of the note. Thus this is a UNIQUE copy with 2 author signatures & an unusual insight into an author's opinion of his own work. BW photos.
