Seller's Description:
Good. Octavo, 600pp., illustrated, with a frontispiece engraving of Queen Caroline. A good copy only in contemporary 3/4 dark green straight-grained morocco and marbled boards. Some signatures a tad loose, but holding. Corners worn and the frotnt outer joint and inner hinge are cracked, though the board is holding strong by the heavy rope. Internally quite clean, but for some foxing/age-toning to the first two plates. Engraved title page merely states "The Royal Exile" and the publication information. The rest of the title is taken from the first text page. Possibly missing a standard (that is, non-engraved) title leaf. Spine labels this as "Vol 1, " and the concluding text indicates more information to follow in future volumes. Please inquire for more detailed information or images.
