Excerpt from The Mount of Olives: And Primitive Holiness Set Forth in the Life of Paulinus, Bishop of Nola The two brief devotional treatises contained in this volume are both new and old. They comprise all the published prose, excluding several masterly translations - all the original prose, that is - of a writer of long ago, who has now won inevitably, but very late, his secure place among English poets.
