This was my favorite Sesame Street book when I was a kid and I'm delighted to be enjoying it again with my daughter. It is more of an interactive book with Grover imploring the reader not to turn pages in order to avoid reaching the monster at the end of the book. We ask our daughter each time if she wants to turn the page, she grins and says yes and we laugh at Grover's response on the following page. It is a quick enough read to be used with 2-year-olds but would certainly be enjoyed by 3-year-olds and possibly older kids.
