Oscar Worthy
A true story about young Irish Catholic girls. They were left by their own parents or guardians to live with the nuns for punishment. The nuns made them pray, clean and work in the laundry at the rectory In Ireland. They weren't allowed to leave and they endured a hard life having to endure cruel and strict rules enforced by the head nun. Some were there until they died or became nuns too. They are suffering for years and than someone finally realizes they don't have the right to keep them forever.
This was a sleeper movie and it should have won an Oscar. The story is so awful but it's an eye opener. Not all nuns come from a pure white background. You'll see what I mean when you see this.
