I have read all eight volumes and this is the best history of France recorded. Coming after the fact that most history was destroyed during the French Revolution it was refreshing to read from one that had what is called a photographic mind and remembered everything that was handed down to him from the "earliest times." This rates a 10+ in my opinion. Ron Naumann
