Many Unfounded Statements!
The book has false information in some parts but the problem is that Sam seems to claim to be an authority or at times takes for granted the authority of the people he quotes. How I wish there was a way to exchange with him for a rebuttle!

So he doesn't believe in "God":
And what else is new here? Nothing. However I wish that was it. The author, probably living in an "ivory tower" of total disconection with the real world, proposes "all religions be eliminated". Or at least that is what he is saying or I am understanding it. I agree that religions have committed mistakes, wars and crimes. However, not all religious believes are that "evil", and not all wars were committed by religious beliefs. To say "eliminate religions and the world will be in peace" sounds to me wishful thinking and childish. Evil goes much farther away from religions and Mr. Harris should know better, but it look like he doesn't.
And the book is too insulting toward Islam's followers. This book is bigoted and prejudiced toward people of any religious persuasions. And only an "idiot" thinks we can get rid of them "permanently". That, Mr. Harris, is not going to happen. Thanks!

great
this book is a must-read for all people who want to change the world. people like myself who know that peoples religious beliefs are based on erroneous assumptions are given badly-needed facts to counter believers. harris makes the case that the power of these beliefs are responsible for millions of deaths in the past and will be responsible for millions more until they have lost their motivational strength. we need a new way of interpreting scripture(s).

I'm A Believer
Sam Harris presents awe-inspiring information as to how Christians, Muslims, Jews, & other believers have been tricked for centuries into believing in a higher power. The heavily annotated book really opened my eyes & helped me realize that I am a believer in those things confirmed by reason & scientific evidence. This is my sole reference tool to justify my atheism. The facts speak for themselves.
