Very Good with no dust jacket. Green textured cloth cover with gilt lettering and armorial device on spine, gilt signature "Victoria R" on top cover. Cover is clean with minimal wear at head, tail of spine. Corners are lightly bumped. There are several small areas on front cover where the glue attaching it to the board has released. Gift note dated 1867 on first blank leaf and a previous owners name in pencil on back of frontis. There is foxing of the preliminary matter and both engravings. There are light marginal pencil marks on some pages. Top edge darkened.; Small 8vo 7½"-8" tall; 371 pages.
