The study Of Otto Efiertz appears for the first time, and is, indeed, as far as I know, the only account that has yet been given in English of that bizarre but brilliant pioneer. Topical articles on Egyptian Nationalism and International Socialism have been included because they give a glimpse of movements which, so far as one can judge, are certain to endure, and of leaders Whose influence is likely to grow rather than to diminish in the immediate future.
