From the first book in the series, "Into the Wild", I was hooked! The "Darkest Hour" brings full circle Firestar's life with the clans, from kittypet, to leader of Thunderclan. I've never read a series of books so engaging. I've recommended them to all of my family and friends, with wonderful results!
If you love cats, this is a must read for all ages! You don't have to be a younger person in order to enjoy all of the Erin Hunter series of books. The plots are wonderfully woven, and keep the reader anxious to turn the next page!
