At first I looked for humor, and there was some but this turned out not to be primarily comedy. The characters are actors, director, et al. planning a production of Hamlet. Several were somewhat off-putting until I got the range of the plot. Then each episode was better than the last. It's a sort of escape entertainment but with some depth, interesting characters & relationships, interesting articulations of the nature of theatre in general & Hamlet in particular, & lots of laughs at antics & absurdities and an appealing wildness, once you get some sense of where the various characters are coming from. The humor has a dark side, and in case you're feeling fragile, note that there is a death early on -- I hope & think it doesn't spoil anything to disclose that -- but by today's standards (I'm a fan of the forties & fifties myself) it passes quickly.
