I fell in love with Dante and just wish I could have wrapped my arms around him just once. Rae is a kindred spirit... I also love dogs and when they pass away they always take a little bit of me with them. This was a wonderful read. Thanks Pam... again!

Sight Hound
This story of a woman's struggle to save her cancer-ridden dog's life against all odds is inspiring and heart-wrenching. However, the myriad of voices involved are confusing: Rae (the dog owner), her ex-boyfriend, her fiance/husband, her house-sitter/friend, her therapist, her vet, the vet's tech, her cat, her other dog, and the wolfhound himself all have something to say. That's ten different points of view, which means you never get to know any of the characters deeply. Rae's chapters are by far the most rambling. I could hardly make out what the book was really about, until I had read some forty pages. It centers on Rae's desperate attachment to her dog, who does quite a bit of philosophizing on the lessons of love he is teaching her.
