Very Good+ in Fair jacket. Book. 8vo-over 7¾"-9¾" tall. With the exception of the illustrations, this edition of Shelby's Expedition to Mexico [orginally published in 1872] is a true facsimile. In order to retain the flavor of the original, it was reproduced with all the typographical errors, broken letters and poor type of the original as well as the repetition of material on pp 32-33. The binding is facsimile in design and color. Black boards with gold-color lettering, color frontis., 139 pp., full-color illustrations by Carol Rogers as well as Civil War era photos and drawings, with original plastic jacket. Minimal shelf wear, previous owner's name on front pastedown, clean text, tight binding. Jacket has two large tears on the front panel and a small chip on the lower spine.
