Hoping to put this squandered opportunity behind her, Carrie takes off for Los Angeles to explore the prospect of turning her columns into a movie. The trip includes a meeting with Matthew McConaughey and, with her friends in tow, a visit to the Playboy mansion. Back in the Big Apple, Miranda (Cynthia Nixon) hires a judgmental maid (Lynn Cohen) and takes a stab at cohabitation with her on-again, off-again boyfriend Steve (David Eigenberg).
