Incredibly good
Very well researched and written. You feel as though you 'know' these people. I learned so much about the times and the characters. FDR truly was a concerned President and cared about the American people and their way of life. Sara was an amazing supportive, encouraging, and a bit controlling Mother. The complex Eleanor found her niche at the sacrifice of her own children. Sara filled the emotional gap when it came to her grandchildren.
These women were the forefront of many social issues and organizations. Some of which we know, today, as March of Dimes and Planned Parenthood.
I'm grateful Jan Pottker brought their story to life.
