The orchestra is the Pro Arte Chamber Orchestra of Boston conducted by Leon Botstein, who conducted the premieres of the last two of the works.The soloists' performances are all excellent. The writer found the tonal work by Starer and the colorfully imaginative work by Wernick to be more interesting than the twelve-tone Wilson concerto, but found that Uribe's playing was dramatic and powerful, even though the emotional point of the piece remained elusive.All...
