Released in 1988, after Eddie & the Cruisers had faded away from public consciousness, Roadhouse repeated the formula John Cafferty & the Beaver Brown Band established on the Eddie soundtrack -- a simple, three-chord rock & roll in the vein of Bruce Springsteen.
