Seller's Description:
Unamed. Good. An uncommon work of travel writing from the late nineteenth century by the noted writer Charles Edwardes. Profusely illustrated throughout. In the publisher's original cloth binding, this is a desirable work of travel writing from the 19th century. This uncommon work is written by Charles Edwardes, in which the author recount his experience of travelling in the Canary Islands. Edwardes describes this work as a book 'written for the entertainment both of these who visit the Canary Islands and those who do not', and so is designed more as a work of entertainment than a travel guide. Illustrated with 20 full page plates, with 8 in-text illustrations. Collated complete. In the publisher's original cloth binding. Externally sound, with light bumping to the head and tail of the spine and extremities, with small splits to the cloth. Rubbing to the front and rear joints, with a small hole to the head of the front joint. Internally firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean. Good.
