Valuable compilation of Marian Apparitions
The author has assembled a catalogue of Marian Apparitions. I was unfamiliar with many of them. Most take place in Europe but some are from South America and Japan. Some have been approved by the Catholic Church as "worthy of belief" Some have not been approved, perhaps for wrong reasons, but have been accompanied by miraculous events. Some are not approved and are unaccompanied by miraculous events or other indicia of authenticity and reliability. The messages imparted during the apparitions consist mainly of warnings. The warnings are that certain chastisements will take place unless mankind repents and returns to God. Many of the warnings predict an apostasy in the Catholic Church. There is a consistency and continuity to the various messages and warnings even though they are given during apparitions taking place at different times, in different places and through different witnesses. The book has made an impression on me and I have reread portions of it several times.
